I think I've figured out that the "Use monospaced as default" is a<br>
feature that Eric tries to do by overriding the styles. This is in the<br>
monospacedStyles method in QsciScintillaCompat.py file at line 93.<br>
Possibly something here is failing to override the default style?<br>

As a workaround you can go to the highlighting mode and set the default<br>
font to be the same family, weight and size as your font assigned in the<br>
box adjacent to the "Use monospaced as default" option. This "fixed it"<br>
for me.<br>

</blockquote></div>I can not tell which "Style element" from <br>Settings>Preferences>Editor>Highlighters>Styles <br>affects the indentation guides, because I have set them all at once to the same family, weight and size as my Monospaced font has. <br>
