I didn't notice any difference in Eric in the --nokde mode. If anything it seemed to start faster.... though it may have been just my impression. Why is it important to enable KDE usage by default?<br><br>thanks,<br><br>

</div>That would indicate a problem in Ubuntu's PyKDE package. The usage of KDE was<br>
disabled in 4.1.x. That is why 4.1.5 is working for you.<br>
