As I aspire to learn some python I've installed Eric and started with the<br>
"MiniBrowser" tutorial.<br>
But, whatever I try, in the "Start" menu , all the options (including the run<br>
proejct!) stays grayed out.<br>

To check it wasn't something I overlooked I've also downloaded the zipped<br>
version of the project with the same result. Running the project(s, tried<br>
both) from the commandline works as expected.<br>

The Eric version is the version available in the latest kubunty repository<br>
with the versions:<br>

</blockquote></div>My guess is that you haven't opened the project yet.<br>You should try the menu item project, and then Open, and browse to/select the project file (MiniBrowser.e4p).<br>Then you should be able to find all the files in the file browser, and run the project.<br>
