This has always been a bit of a pain point for PyQt for me - what's<br>
the rationale behind the repository not being publicly available? Is<br>
it just for historical reasons, seeing it started somewhere in the<br>
1990s I believe?<br>

I'd really appreciate if PyQt was developed more openly, and had an<br>
open repository, bugtracker, and some means to contribute.<br>
<br>
I think this would make a big difference with people preferring PySide<br>
(even with Qt4) over PyQt, and I'm sure there are many people who'd<br>
appreciate helping out with PyQt. Hell, I'd even sign a CLA to do so<br>
(as long as it was somewhat fair, of course).<br>
