Hi,

I'm experiencing similar issue as
http://www.mail-archive.com/eric@riverbankcomputing.com/msg00155.html

eric3 segfaults at startup.

Distro: Slackware 11
Kernel: 2.6.19

(all installed (re-installed) from source.
qt-3.3.8-i486-1_slack11.0
qScintilla-1.71-i486-1
PyQt-x11-gpl-3.17-i486-1
sip-4.5-i486-1

Trying to use the instructions given in the thread mentioned above
isn't working ... I don't get a segfault but this:
gdb --args python /usr/local/bin/eric3

Any hints on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
