I have the feeling, that it is somehow related to some networking restrictions 
that might be applied by Vista. It cannot be normal to be an admin in order 
to use a normal program. Can you try to set eric4 to passive mode and check, 
if the port 42424 (default) is open and eric4 listening for new connections.
