[Eric] Updating plugin repository

I can't make the update plugin repository feature work.  I wonder if the
server is down?  It seems like the server uses dynamic dns... Maybe for
something as important as the plug in repository it could be hosted at a
more permanent server.  And maybe to make users lifes easier Eric could ship
with the current plugin repository file and most used plugins?
