[Eric] Breakpoints in python

I am a new Eric4 user and have been enjoying it very much.  Everything
works great except for breakpoints which are totally ignored!  I click
next to the line number and a red x is shown, but the program doesn't
break!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I'm running on windows XP
SP2 and python 2.6.
