[Eric] how to enable PluginAssistantEric?

I have downloaded and installed the Eric Assistant plugin, but I dont know
how to activate it. In the "plugin infos" dialog I see that the plugin has
autoactivate enabled, but it is not active. The entry is not listed in red
in that dialog. Is there something I am missing, or does the plugin not work
with the January 18 snapshot?
