[Eric] Eric4 on Mac Os X, problem with highlighting boxes

Hi, I just installed Eric 4.0.4 on Mac Os X 10.6.2, using default
system python. I get a weird display problem: the editor shows “boxes”
around words if one clicks on them. What happens is that these boxes
are somewhat off to the right, and if I click on those words, the
whole line shifts to the right to fit into the boxes. Anyone else
notice this?
