[Eric] eric on small 1024x600 display

I would like to run eric on my asus eee 901 (48+32GB, ubuntu 10.04). 
However, it seems that the minimum frame size of eric is 1175x668 pix. 
Unfortunately that does not work on my 1024x600 display. Can I tweek one 
of the *.ui files to reduce the min size? If so which and how do I get 
eric working more or less properly after that.
