I've heard some good things about PyCharm too, but because it is a fee
based app I tend to categorically disregard it.
I'm one of those people who believes that only ports of application
software to Windows should be charged for. Serves those folks right for
choosing to run that operating system in the first place ;)
That's a model that X-Chat, for example, along with several other
projects takes - If you want to run it on Windows, then you're already
used to paying too much for your software and you might as well pay too
much for this one too LOL.
This has been a big boost for Open Source projects, especially with
regards to *community* vs *pro* versions. Many projects do this,
OpenERP, Feng Office, Nagios, etc.
I think it's a good model.
