Unfortunately that is not possible. What would distinguish a crash session
from a session of a running instance? The only possible way would be to
inspect the list of running processes and check for a running eric instance.
However, eric supports a switch to disable looking for a crash session.
--no-crash disables looking for a crash session upon startup
--disable-crash disables the function completely
