Debug libreoffice python extensions

I'd like to use Eric to debug python extensions for Libreoffice.
I already can debug python code IF launched from outside (i.e., run Libreoffice as a service and the remote-control it with python),
I didn't manage how to debug menu-launched macros.
I know that with eclipse-pydevd it's possible to insera a settrace() command in python to enter the debug when that line is
executed. Is there such a qay with Eric ?
