eric7 stuck at startup (ubuntu 22.04)

That sounds kinda similar to something I recently ran across:

The short answer for me was to install libqt6sql6-sqlite.  Debian's
eric package is being updated to reflect that dependency.  Perhaps
Ubuntu "inherited" this problem?
