Eris Problem

Hi Detlev,

I just had a problem with Linux Mint and had to reinstall it. Most 
things are working OK again but I have a problem with Eric. I have run 
the install scripts, they look OK but when I try to run it it fails.  
This is what I see in a terminal.

mick at DeskMint21:~$ /home/mick/eric_env/bin/eric7_ide
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even 
though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be 
initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Available platform plugins are: vkkhrdisplay, linuxfb, minimalegl, 
offscreen, wayland-egl, vnc, wayland, minimal, eglfs, xcb.

Aborted (core dumped)


I suspect that I just need to install something else but don't know 
what.  Can you help?
