<html><body><span style="font-family:Verdana; color:#000000; font-size:10pt;"><div>Hi,</div><div><br></div><div>Just started looking at Eric and it looks quite good there are a number of features that will be quite useful.</div><div><br></div><div>Running on Linux Mint 18.1 64 bit with the latest Eric installed. Pylint is definitely installed and runs fine, I've used it with the WingIDE Python editor with no problems. And I have both pylint and pylint3 installed.<br></div><div><br></div><div>I'm still working though getting everything setup with eric but I hit a couple of speed bumps.</div><div><br></div><div>First is trying to get the PyLint plugin to work and play well. The plugin installs and shows Activated and Active which should mean that it was able to find the pylint executable from looking at the code for the plugin.</div><div><br></div><div>But when I right click on my test Python source code and then select Check>Run PyLint.. I get a message box with the title eric6 - pylint with the message The pylint executable could not be found.</div><div><br></div><div>Also in the plugin source directory there appears to be a configuration dialog, but I don't see any way to access it so I'm assuming that if eric was able to run pylint that it may pop that dialog up at that point.</div><div><br></div><div>Has anyone else tried the PyLint plugin and had this problem, and if so how did you fix it?</div><div><br></div><div>I'll send a separate request for the other problem that I hit.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div>Burt</div><div><br></div></span></body></html>
