<p>OK... I had not realized that there were 2 different locations
for eric preferences:</p>
<ol>
<li><font size="+1"><tt>~/.config/eric6</tt></font></li>
<li><font size="+1"><tt>~/Eric6</tt></font></li>
</ol>
<p>not sure why there are both locations, but I found the Language
pref in <font size="+1"><tt>~/Eric6/eric6prefs.ini</tt></font>.</p>

<p>Does this help anyone with more knowledge of qt to know what's

I don't see any language setting in Preferences at all... so
I've tried to figure out how Qt might be affecting it, but I
know nothing of it, so no progress there. <br>

I've completely removed my ".eric6" prefs directory, and my most
recent project directory as well. (Just renaming them out of the
way...) but no help. <br>

The only way I've gotten it to startup in English again is by
logging in as a different user. <br>

Any pointers greatly appreciated! <br>
