Hello, for what it's worth.

  I think, the work rob did on 1999-11-29 was for
    PyQt and SIP 0.9 
    Python 1.5.2  
    Qt 1.44 

  Doing a `what` on the libqtcmodule.so yields
    SunOS 5.5.1
