Did you install the developer tools from Apple / may be the 3rd CD,
but you can get it via
developer.apple.com
but you have to register first.

After installing all the stuff

before running ./configure
I changed the line
containing
	archive_cmds='$nonopt .... echo -dynamiclib ...
into
	archive_cmds='$nonopt .... echo -bundle ...

After that
./configure
works.

Next step
	make
an then  change to "root"
	make install
and sip is installed.
