[PyKDE] Problem with PyQt-3.3-Qt-NC

I have just upgraded to Python 2.2.1 (Win32 reference install from 
www.python.org) and at same time upgraded to PyQt-3.3-Qt-NC.exe.  I have 
Qt-2.3.0-NC edition installed.

I get the following error running any PyQt example:

site-packages\qt.py line 404:  libqtc.SipCallCtor(70, self, args)
Attribute Error: 'module' object has no attribute 'qtIsX11'

Could someone advise what is wrong?
I previously had Python 2.1 and PyQt-2.5-Qt-NC running with no problems.
