Is there any reason you can't use py2Exe on Windows? I've used it several
times, and it seems to work well. I haven't tried, but I've heard that
Gordon McMillan's installer does the same thing as py2exe on both Windows
and linux.

This is a very manual process which I'm sure can be improved. At the moment
it only covers UNIX/Linux but a Windows version will be very similar and
