I have finished version 0.1 of sipPQ, which is libpq sipped for Python.

This is different from PyGreSQL in that it isn't a neat interface to use
PostgreSQL with all the trimmings. It is as close to the metal as makes
sense in Python.

It uses sip, so be sure to go to http://riverbankcomputing.co.uk/sip/ to get
it.

Right now, it is just a libpq interface. I plan to build a seemless pythonic
library on top of that, to make it user-friendly. I hope that others can
use it to build their own libraries.

The code is definitely alpha, and it is unknown whether it works 100%.
However, I am currently writing tests plus my library on top of it, so
pretty soon it will become more stable and solid, or at least I'll be more
confident in saying so.

You can download the sources at
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=61057. It's about
halfway down the page.

Send comments and suggestions to jgardner at jonathangardner.net.
