[PyKDE] eric3 segmentation fault

I am also suffering segfaults (without any coredumps) whenever
a) I try and run or debug any scripts
b) Do Help/about
I'm running Mandrake 10.1 (Official) + later cooker updates with

python-2.4-3mdk
eric-snapshot-20050131
libqscintilla5-1.4-2mdk
PyQt-3.13-1mdk

What can I do next to help debug this?
Trying to debug it using idle just hangs both apps
