Ok, after fixing the tests with the processEvents() qt-bugs suggestion, and your
clarifications about ownership parenting, I came to the conclusion that this bug
seems to be only present in the PyQT version packaged for Debian (3.13). Using
the latest PyQT snapshot fixed it.
