The attached files configure.txt, uimenus.txt
uixml.txt are patch files for the
corresponding python files of PyKDE.

Hi there,
just to give some Solaris feedback:

PyKDE-snapshot20050307
PyQt-x11-gpl-snapshot-20050310
sip-snapshot-20050310

...now compile out-of-the-box on Solaris 8 (sparc)!
See below for modifications/configuration.

My environment:
---------------
qscintilla-1.62-gpl-1.5

Python version is 2.3.4
Qt version is 3.3.3
KDE version is 3.3.2 (0x30302)

gcc 2.95.2


Hints:
------
1. sip
For largefile-support-compiled python some bogus solaris header files
cause issues with redefining names that are also used by Qt/KDE methods..
You can get rid of this:

Add an extra define when configuring sip:
DEFINES+=__PRAGMA_REDEFINE_EXTNAME
e.g.
${PYTHON} configure.py -b ${SIP_BINDIR} -d ${SIP_LIBDIR} -e
${SIP_INCLUDEDIR} \
                   -l qt-mt -v ${SIP_DIR/share} \
                   RPATH+=${RPATH} \
                   DEFINES+=__PRAGMA_REDEFINE_EXTNAME
would be how I call sip´s configure.py in my custom build script.

-I had one installation issue with the kdepyuic binary which I do not
want to go to sipcfg.default_bin_dir, thus patched configure.py:

- uisampler.py has problems if you invoke it if "python" does not point
to the actual interpreter version you want to use. Using sys.executable
in the uimodules can avoid this:
