[PyQt] How to query the direction an icon is drawn

Hi,

is there a way to determine, how the icon of a QTabBar tab is drawn for a 
particular style? I have a tab widget with tabs to the left. If I use the 
Oxygen style, the icon are drawn correctly. However, other Qt styles like 
Plastique draw the icons rotated by 90°. Therefore I'd like to assign an icon 
to the tabs, that are rotated by 90°.
