I disagree. However, different people prefer different ways of communicating
so there's nothing wrong with using a forum.

I usually search the mailing list archives with Google, restricting the
search to URLs that correspond to pages on the Riverbank Computing site:

If you want to use a forum for this, can I suggest that you talk to the
QtCentre people and ask them if they can add forums for these topics?
