[PyQt] Strange error message from PyQt4 with Python3

Hi,

every now and than I get a really strange exception from PyQt4. It reads 
"unable to convert a C++ 'QString' instance to a Python object". The exception 
is a TypeError.

Versions:
Python 3.1
sip 4.10
PyQt 4.7
Qt 4.5.3

What could be causing this issue?
