[PyQt] ProgressBar - Activity Mode

Hi list,
I would like to get a progress bar that works in a way similar to the
"Activity Mode" of the corresponding GTK widget:

i.e. show activity by a block moving back and forth within the progress
area.

Is there a quick way to do it?
Some code snippet to grab?

What are possible alternatives for this kind of task?
