[PyQt] QTreeView loses highlight

I have a QGTreeView that is working great on macOS and Fedora.
But on Windows 10 I am seeing the solid highlight disappear sometimes
and leave me with a vertical dotted line to indicate what is selected.

I have failed to notice a pattern yet to what I need to do to trigger
this yet.

Does anyone know what might be going on? I realize this is a long shot.
