[PyQt] Adding a top level layout

   When I select several layouts and spacers to place in a a containing
layout too often when I click to display the menu I deselect all selected
widgets/layouts. There must be a correct place to click for the menu to
appear and I've not yet consistently found that place.

   Example: On a tab there are two grid layouts within a horizontal layout.
Beneath that is a vertical spacer, and below that is a frame layout with a
label and text entry widget.

   When all three are selected, where in that space should I click the
trackball's left button to display the menu rather than deselect all three?
