[PyQt] question on webchannels

at what point of the document lifecycle can a webchannel be loaded?

I have an event I'm trying to catch that's milliseconds after
DOMContentLoaded.

>From what I remember is page().setWebChannel cannot be called until
DOMContentLoaded is fired.

Is that assumption true?
