No MainWindow after refactoring

Hi Axel,
unfortunately my knowledge about networking is very limited. Simply put, I
really don't know what your dns-related code does, and, despite some random
domain name, I don't know what I should put in the name server address
variable in order to make it work.

I don't know if (and to what amount) the issue is related to the dns query
implementation, but it would certainly help if you could provide us a
minimal reproducible example that we could test without any modifications
(and without requiring some special network "feature").
