On PyPI (see https://pypi.org/project/PyQt6/) I can only see this:
Requires: Python >=3.6.1
Unfortunately, PyPI doesn't mention the upper barrier, something like:
Requires: 3.xx.xx > Python >= 3.6.1
Does this mean that the only way to know the upper barrier is trial and error?

I can confirm both. I am using eric7 with Python 3.11 since a couple of
weeks (I think since Beta2) and used it with Python 3.10 before.
