Possible Python Traceback issue - M1 Mac Rosetta#23240

Hi,
I opened this bug report a few days ago thru vs code’s github site.  Since their
last update, a week earlier or so,  I now encounter crash reports and spinning beachballs
with almost every traceback.

Here’s my setup:
 
Sonoma 14.4.1
version Darwin Kernel Version 23.4.0: Fri Mar 15 00:10:42 PDT 2024; root:xnu-10063.101.17~1/RELEASE_ARM64_T6000
Rosetta2
Python Version:  3.12.3
Qt Version:      6.6.0
PyQt Version     6.6.0 

Curious if anyone else has experienced this.
