[QScintilla] Mac OS X: brackets and other special characters

Update:

I compiled the Qt3 example using qscintilla2 and it seems to support 
characters like: @ # [ ] { }
That is nice; anyway I'm still unable to type accented characters like: 
à è é ì ò ù.
