[QScintilla] Possible QScintilla Bug

I tried two apps that use the qscintilla widget, sqliteman ( http://sqliteman.com ) and eric ( http://eric-ide.python-projects.org/index.html).
I use uim ( http://code.google.com/p/uim/ ) to type japanese text, but it doesn't work as it should in qscintilla widgets (in both apps) - I use the qt immodule plugin. The preedit window is not shown at all. It works well with other qt editors that use other widgets. By the way, I noticed a kinda strange behavior on the gtk scintilla editor too, but a little different (I don't know if it's related actually)
