[QScintilla] Designer plugin fails to load

Platform: Windows XP, Qt 4.3.3

I've built and installed the 4.4.3 version of the QScintilla Designer
plugin, but it isn't loading in Designer.  The DLL built without errors or
warnings and is installed in the proper location, but according to the
Plugin Information dialog, it's listed in the Failed Plugins category with
the error message "The file
'C:/Qt/4.3.3/plugins/designer/qscintillaplugin.dll' is not a valid Qt
plugin."  Googling, searching the mailing list archives, and searching Qt
Forum and Qt Centre didn't turn up anything, so presumably this "just works"
for other users of the plugin.  Does anyone have any ideas about what could
be going wrong?  Perhaps the QScintilla 4.4.3 plugin isn't
backwards-compatible with Qt 4.3.3?  Any help or pointers would be
appreciated.  Thanks!
