Not really no. Been a whole lot of people who found out the hard way.

It might be useful now. You can see how RedDiamond accessed the other
Lexers and probably do the same thing in your own personal hack of
QScintilla. That's what "maintenance mode" means . . . hack it yourself.
Very few of the "new" lexers use the new API. You should be able to add
them into your project and the list. That's what I've failed to convey
to you.
