[Eric] newbie in linux, python and eric4 - nothing happen when trying to run python script

to understand what's going on, the following would be helpful:
1) how do you invoke the script in the shell?
2) how do you invoke the script from Eric? (a screenshot maybe)
3) is there any output in the Shell-widget at the bottom?
