Thank you to everybody who answered my question.
I started solving the problem by upgrading to RedHat Linux 7.2. It comes
with qt 2.3.1 which allows to compile smoothly sip-2.4 and PyQt-2.4.
Now everything compiles well and the installation is apparently good, but
I've still problems:
Python 2.1.1 (#1, Oct 16 2001, 14:04:16)
[GCC 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-85)] on linux2
Type "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
