The actual toolkit is very stable, and the bindings are quite good. It's 
only Phil's preview releases that segfault for me. If you are unsure about
support for Qt 2.x, you might want to concentrate on Qt 3. I guess that by
February nobody will be using Qt 2.x anymore, because KDE will demand Qt 3
by that time.

You might also want to invest in BlackAdder, if easy distributability is
an issue. I think that would be easier to get up and running, and make
distributing your apps easier, too.
