This is all find and good but i could not care less about the compiler, in 
fact i have never configured the compiler on this system nor do I wish to.  

i hacked the makefiles so they where at least close to correct but it fails to 
build after the qtgl module...   something about a misplaced ;  etherway this 
is feeling like a waste of time because it seems like windows is not a viable 
platform for pyqt...

i am glad it works for you, the fact it has never worked here out of the box 
for me has me thinking something better needs to be done.  i am not a sport 
for manually copying and messing arround with make files, i have more 
entertaining things to do with my time, like get my own code to work.

so what are our options to make PyQt realistic under windows?
