[PyQt] QFileDialog filtering by permissions

Hello everyone,

I've tried to get QFileDialog to show only files and directories with a
certain set of permissions. So far I tried using its setFilter method
(http://pastebin.com/d650cfd96) and subclassing QSortFilterProxyModel,
overwriting filterAcceptsRow and filterAcceptsColumn. In fact, it doesn't
matter what I pass in setFilter (only dirs, only files ...) it just gets
ignored, as well as the return values of filterAccept... 

I'm using PyQt 4.5 and Qt 4.5.

How am I able to filter out all files / directories in QFileDialog for which
I don't have execution permission?
