Well, I sympathise with Florian. It can be frustrating to read the same
question in many places, even if you don't subscribe to all of them, and
especially if you provided an answer.

In the past, I've tried to help people in one place only to find that they
asked the question elsewhere and already got an answer. It's great that
problems are being solved but it's not the most efficient way for the people
solving them, even if it may be for the person asking the questions. It also
doesn't help if they never follow up saying they solved the problem and
giving the solution.

As to whether the question should be asked on a Qt forum: it may be a way to
get a quicker answer for simple Qt questions but I imagine many people are
more comfortable asking questions in a Python-centric forum. On the other
hand, it's not very useful to report Qt bugs to this mailing list.
