[PyQt] QFuture replacement for PyQt?

Arve and Wolfgang,

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I'm currently still using Python 2,
though a port to Python 3 is in progress. I'll either cobble something
together based on the links you've provided, or wait for the port to finish
before proceeding.
